Guided Canoe Tour at Congaree National Park
A true test of marriage = paddling a canoe together. It’s a teamwork kind of thing for sure. When Ben and I first started down the river we both agreed that maybe we should’ve each gotten our own kayak, but after awhile we got things sorted out.
On Saturday Ben and I drove to Congaree National Park, outside of South Carolina’s capital city, Columbia. Our first part of the day was a ranger-guided canoe tour, which I highly recommend. (Especially if, like us, you don’t have tons of canoeing experience.) Find out more information and how you can reserve a tour on the Congaree National Park website.
After our canoe tour we took a short hike through the forest, where we nearly ran into six wild boar…thankfully they ran away when they heard us talking. A list of trails can also be found on the park website.
